L2800 3 point shudder problem

Get the valve. You won't regret it. As stated before the knob is only for adjusting the lowering speed. It is night and day between the two valves. You also might consider that someday you may want to use an implement where it is critical to make a fine adjustment upwards and without that valve you will not be able to. Brian

I agree! Not having a smooth 3PH is Ludicrous.
Do these engineers actually ever drive a tractor and do any work with it???

If Kubota had clearly said something about the valve (as they do with the B7800) in the product descriptions then I think that they *may* have a leg to stand on here wrt. Economy vs. Grand L.

I say *may* because a 1 inching valve is pretty darn crappy anyway and it shocks me everytime they give someone a hassle about this.

In my opinion, the 1/4" valving is just as crappy.

Agreed... at least they tell you that upfront so that the buyer can consider that as a difference between the B7800 and B3030.

Took my L2800 in today and showed the Kubota tech how voilently my 3-point shook when I raise the mower. He asked me if I bought it from them or somewhere else. Told him from another dealer an hour away. Then the SOB started bashing my tractor saying that it was the worst thing Kubota ever made. I got really angry with this dude. I told him that if its so bad why is there one in the showroom and why is his so **** overpriced compared to the rest of their competitors. I told him that my family's farm has done a lot of business with the dealership he works for and that he has jeopardized any future dealings with them. I shut him up and said that he would fix it. He was a cocky little guy that spoke very poor english. I believe he was a direct service tech employed by Kubota. Not sure but I am anxious to get it fixed and then cut all ties with this arrogant dealership. By the way, we have bought a Kubota M7040, JD 757, Mill Creek spreaders, Sthil weedeaters, blowers, a Gator....all from this dealer. I'm thru with them after this. Too bad the other bota dealer is 70 miles away.

Bama. I understand the irritation but did you get to the bottom of why he though that the L2800 was the worst thing Kubota made?

Was there actually some valid point that he was trying to bring up? Did he have a lot of experience with these tractors.

The PTO issue has gotten a few of us nervous particularly since official reps from Kubota keep calling it an 'economy tractor'. What else has been 'economised' on?

There are LOTS of these tractors - L2800/L3400 - being sold and other than the valve issue I don't think there have been reports of widespread problems.

No, I never got a defininte answer as to why he thought/said that about my L2800. I believe that he was pulling my chain a bit but he did set me off after that comment. He could have just been having one of those days, even though it's unacceptable to say that to a customer. He was Japanese and his English was very broken. He also asked me if I have had any problems with my PTO. Told him no and asked him why? He said that he had a customer tear up two pto's from a tiller on both an L2800 and then his L3400. I told him that the PTO works great and powers my 72" finish mower just fine. When I lef the dealership, I really did feel a little defeated. The bottom line is that this machine is and has been great!! I love it and wouldn't trade it for any other tractor in its class. It has plenty of power, beefy front axle and plenty of gusto to do anything that I can throw at it. The 3-point problem is minor and will be fixed. I really don't mean to turn anyone away from any Kubota products because I believe that they are the best machines in their respective classes. I just am ticked about the pissy remarks that this guy made at the dealership. I am going to file a complaint about him after I get my tractor back.

I had my PTO to fail twice on my L2800 from using a roto tiller, but it didn't come from your dealer. You think it may have been me he was talking about. That's interesting, as I was told by Kubota that I was the only one who have had problems with the PTO on this series of tractors, other than complaints about the noise they make.
We are not all that far from each other. My dealer is in Southern Indiana.
