When I "feel the need for speed" I get on this. Naturally, I only get that need in the winter.

Here's my "Need for Speed" toy! Pucker factor is greatly reduced due to the low center of gravity. Hills do not seem to be an issue. And it gets 28 mpg to boot. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have a L3010HST, performance in high range is like a cranky
woman, you can't push her. I think Bird pretty well summed it
up. Taking off,you make believe you have an egg on the pedal
,gradually increasing pressure as your ground speed increases
. When top speed is reached(on highway) set the tach for 2500 or so. When hills are approched, maintain engine RPM
with the hst-foot control by backing off gradually. This procedure is repeated as much as needed to maintain ground
speed. After you crest the hill ground speed can be increased
by pushing down on the hst-foot pedal. I have used this procedure many times on L3010HST&L4610HST, hope this will
help.
