No fork needed.. I took the lower nut off and simply took a rubber hammer and two hits it came right off. Now- the tractor only has 40 hrs on it so that had a lot to do with it... The lower nut I set wrench to 80lbs and it clicked... I thought it was good and tight- that was the same place it was when it came off. With only 40 hours I don't think it would have much wear. Now the lock nut on the end of the tie rod that is adjustable I dont know I dont have open end torqure wrench

But it is good and tight.. Dang thing was finger loose when I went to take it off:laughing:
