VERY informative link, thank you! I was stoked to see pictures of your finished product than saw your line that you've been too chicken to do it. LOL C'mon man, get crackin!
My wife/budget is the only thing stopping me at this point. I'm sure I'll be asking a ton more questions, but I'll be sure to log everything to share.

I didn't know that a factory valve was available for the L3400. Is it ?

StrangeRanger:

Check out this thread on adding remotes and TnT to an L3400. Pretty much all the remotes I've heard about here on the L2800/L3400 are aftermarket.

I have not yet gone and done it. I'm too chicken yet to muck with the hydraulics and I'm not sure if I won't trade the tractor in a couple of years for a GL so I don't want to sink too much money into it.

That's on the right side, right under your foot right? Ahh... I just saw your avatar, you don't have a FEL on do you? That's where I think my FEL is all connected up to. Is that where I can tap into for a rear remote though?

For what it's worth I have a single Kubota rear remote on my L3400HST. I have attached a picture of where the hydraulic lines connect to the tractor. The tank connection was routed to the rear where the filler is. There is a new plug with a fitting for the tank return.

That's the exact system I was thinking of, the CNC system, but I was unsure if that "valve block" on the right side, under your right foot is a power beyond or what? I love being a noob :)

Try Carter & Carter for the TNT system. Basically is hooked up to the power beyond front loader valve with a return line to valve block at the bottom of your tractor. Unit clamps on to ROPS on right side.

I have the "Original" TNT from un-named person, unit is great!!!

If you have the FEL you should be able to tap into those lines. It is on the right under the floorboard.

The L7314 hose kit is for an FEL application.
Non-FEL would use an L7315 hose kit and the price would be $232.00.

I think going after market may be the way to go. Thank you for the info though!
Kinda like buying auto accessories at Wally World for your $35,000 truck, but hey,
each to his own.

I dont see the problem with "aftermarket" parts??? i used vickers valves and eaton fittings and cylinders and weatherhead hoses in my setups. those are all "aftermarket" in regards to Kubota but they are top of the line in quality. Just because it doesnt have the Kubota name on it or come from a Kubota dealer it doesnt mean it is junk.

it doesnt matter where you buy anything from. some brands are cheap junk and some are quality products

At least on the L3400 the Kubota valves don't seem to offer anything that is specifically better than an aftermarket valve. I'd be tempted to go with the Kubota setup if it had a clean mount of some kind.

Either way you are going to be fabricating a mount off the ROPS.

The neat thing about TBN is that the folks here make everything seem doable! Main reasons why I haven't done it yet:

- I've considered a move to a Grand L from time to time for no really good reason (which is why I talk myself out of it). Would be kind of a waste to get the valve and TNT installed and then trade in / move to another tractor. Don't think I will recoup much money I spend on mods to this tractor.

- There seemsss to be no clean mount for the valve. I'm not a DIYer so fabricating / welding something to mount the valve onto off the ROPS is out of the question.

If I can convince myself that I'll keep this tractor for the next 5 years or so then as a winter project I might take this on along with getting a sunshade and work lights installed (another thread I've got going).

I didn't say that........ maybe I used the wrong analogy, but I've found through experience, that sometimes trying to save a buck on the front end will end up costing a lot more before you are done.
Kubota offers a KIT which means you get everything that you will need to do the job.
Personally, I would rather spend a few more dollars up front than have to run all over the county chasing parts or waiting several days for the parcel truck to bring the 50 cent part I need to finish the project, but that's just me.
Sorry if I upset you.
