Clean out the screens up front and watch the radiator screen, too... it can over heat if it gets clogged. Did he give you the manual to look over?

Nice tractor and a great deal. If you search on this forum on the jerky 3 pt. you will find a fix. On mine Kubota replaced the the lift valve to a postion control valve. It is way better. I doubt if you could get Kubota to do anything for you now but you might ask your dealer. Brian

Looks like I'll be getting it next week , he is coming home to clean up around his house with it , then sell it . I am going to get it , wash and wax :confused2: , then grease everything ! Oil / filters were just done by dealer . The ft hydrulic connectors ( for grapple ) , do not have covers over them , so going to buy covers for them to keep dirt / water out . Add fluid to ft/rear tires . Wanting to make rubber mat for floor boards. Any thing I need to check or fix/do ? 110 hrs on tractor. I am going to read all the books on it . Thanks for all the info , pms , and help with this tractor . Its a big deal for me , to spend this much and only use it a few times a year . I hope to pick up some side jobs , to make some extra cash . I just want to buy it , take care of it , put it in shop and keep it forever . I have had my 3000 Ford for 12 -13 years . So not planning on buying anything after the L3400 ( unless it breaks or gets stolen ) . Looking for LONG term buy .

That situation sucks, but always put yourself in someone elses shoes. He may have had no idea the true value of the tractor, or been scared because of a financial situation... Which may have been resolved, or maybe he finally discovered what the tractor was really worth. 16k is a rediculous price for that low hr tractor. It was shady him stringing you along, but it is what it is... Something better will come along, but let me give you one word of advice... Dont burn your bridges, obviously he is an indesicive guy and who knows, all that seat time may have made him traxtor happy again, but after it sits for a week idle you might get a call from him saying he changed his mind again!
