My 3400 is supposed to arrive on Monday, possibly on Tuesday. I'm having a hard time waiting - it's worse than a 6 year old waiting for Christmas!

Congrats on the L3400. You will love the tractor as I love mine and I think it is the most tractor for the money in that size and price range!

I couldn't afford to chew up the ground over my septic field, which is what needs mowing the most often, and based on my lot layout / geography I have to cross over to get to the road. Helpful neighbors with ag tires came to our aid during a brush fire this spring (when the ground was ironically soggy) and nearly tore the ground up all the way to the pipes.

Otherwise, I'd have been happy with ag tires.

I mow over my drain field with Ags and have had no problem. But, I only mow it when it is dry and it is not my yard and is kept more like a field than a 'lawn' so a little scuffing is no problem. I mow it in 2wd to minimize scuffing. there is some, but no big deal.

However, most everything else I do would be hampered by R4s. I understand they have their role, but I've never seen the appeal.

I've had my L3400HST for 1 week and have 10 hours on it. It is a lot of tractor. Go for it!!!!
