Congrats!!! Post some pics when you can.. They only look that good for a while

I have to wait 5 more days... Its killing me

I had to wait an extra 2 days for mine ... the wait was so bad I was DREAMING about having a tractor delivered (except in the dream it was the size of a tricycle with a finger-actuated FEL that was maybe a 1/2 cup in size).

I've only run it for a couple hours (mostly mowing) and I've already dusted it up pretty good as well as left some good orange paint from the FEL on a number of rocks hidden in the underbrush as I was feeling my way through.

Initial thoughts ... love the size/power, love the HST, love the 4wd, not 100% sure yet about the 3pt positioning (the brush cutter seems to not raise until I hit about a 6 out of 8 on the position control lever).

I need to try out the box blade soon, but I'm scared to death that I'll manage to mess something up taking off the brush cutter (I guess I will graduate to the owning/operating forum and try to figure all that out).

My wife and 10 year old daughter took a few "action shots" (wife in the "field", daughter from the house - everyone was safe). I'll try to post them below ... at least I think I attached them properly ...

Fuuny, I didn't know they started making the L3400's with shuttle shift as the ebay auction listed. Bet the buyer might be a little disappointed.

Nice pics of the L3400 being delivered, rare to see pics of one with R4 tires. Guess it's the first I have ever seen!

Go ahead and get one of the quick hitches. I bought Pat's and it is worth the price. Wrestle that cutter around a few times hooking and unhooking and the price won't matter.

I second the Pats suggestion. Best money you will ever spend on your tractor. Not worth mucking with implements without it IMHO.

Does your 3 PT not move at all until you hit about 6? Or does your brush cutter not lift off the ground until after 6 to 8?

If it is the first then it is an adjustment issue. Believe there was a post here on how to adjust the 3PT lever. If it is a the latter then you have probably set your top link to be too long - shorten it up a bit. You want it short enough so that you have a couple inches that you can raise the cutter without it coming off the ground - but that is about it.
