yes, I have been researching, and cannot find a tag on my hitch, but it looks to be a 10k max hitch...and I need to pull a 14k load....looking like a gooseneck is in order...I did find a 2.5 inch reese rated to 16k...but the height of my truck (4x4) is quite high which would require a drop hitch which reduces pulling cap quite a bit...the safer answer seems to be gooseneck.
I love Goosenecks. Nice trailers, a little on the heavy side, but nice.

I have finally found the tag on my hitch, class IV rated to 12k, I have also found class V hitches available rated to 16k, while goosenecks look like they would pull better, the cost of a new bed mounted hitch, and the higher cost of the trailer itself makes it seem like going with a class V receiver hitch would be ok for pulling a 14k trailer with a near capacity load as long as the load is well balanced.

I can only make assumptions that my 8k tractor along with loaded tires , an FEL and BH must weigh over 10k probably close to 11k, add 3k for the trailer weight and I am at 14k....

Your tractor is probably in the neighborhood of 8800-9000lbs.

Bullit is more in the right range from my experience for what you list. Probably not over 9k, at least not much.
