Thanks for the suggestions guys. Took yesterday off to see if I could figure out the problem (only day not calling for rain) and it turns out it was a blown fuse. The first thing I did when it died was pull all the fuses and check them but did not replace them as they didn't appear blown. Pulled the seat to get to the wiring harness and replaced the mid-PTO jumpers, still nothing. The other issue showing on the dash panel was the HST Neutral. Tried adjusting the switch then jumped it. Still nothing. Then noticed that both the mid-PTO and HST Neutral switches had the same colored lead going to them. Went to the fuse box and found that lead and replaced that fuse and purring like a kitten again. Upon closer inspection of that fuse I can now see it was blown but with the dirt and dust on it wasn't immediately noticable. Lesson learned, never trust a visual inspection of the fuses, pop a new one in and see if that helps.

Aren't these computer/relay controlled tractors wonderful:confused: Give me a simple, straightforward, mechanical tractor any day;one you have to pull a fuel shutoff by hand to shut down, no OP devices other than perhaps a neutral/clutch depressed switch in the starter circuit to protect the hapless/helpless:rolleyes:

Digger,

My apologies - you clearly said it was a GST and I talked about a hydro.

The jumper wire is for moving a tractor that the engine runs on - I understand your engine does not run - the engine stuff is the same regardless of transmission.

Thanks

Digger, I wonder what caused the fuse to blow? Obviously not a dead short, or you'd still be dead in the water... I'm going to learn from your experience, though, and add fuses to our tractor's toolbox, as our L3830HST has pretty much the same electrics.

I own a Kubota GL4630GSTC. and had a similar problem. Using front mount blower and hit a rock. After putting everything in neutral and standing up the tractor shut off. tried to start and the Mid PTO light was on and no crack on the engine. Checked the fuses and the 5amp mini fuse in the fuse panel below the steering column labeled Key Stop was blown. Changed fuse and everything works fine.
