I was using my loader for the first time today and noticed the loader has no bucket level indicator. My Ford loader has a tube and rod, the rod is up out of the tube about one inch when bucket is level.
Does Kubota make an level indicator. Has anyone fabricated the type I am talking about or have any advice?
Thanks in advance,

I think there is an indicator on the bucket although I don't find that type to be very useful. My B2620 has the same type of indicator.I fabricated a level indicator for it patterned off the one on my previous L3240.I have added a few photos, hope this helps. While it it true, there is no rod and tube level indicator, Kubota does include a level indicator of sorts. On the bucket itself is an L shaped piece of metal welded on that is in parallel with the bottom of your bucket. When you sight across this this metal strap and it appears to be level, well then the bottom of the bucket is also level. Yes I know it is Mickey Mouse, but it does work. Especially after you use it for a while, it kinda grows on you.:) Of course you can fabricate the rod and tube type yourself if you wish. There are several threads on here of guys that have done such. Basically a tube attached to the stationary end of the curl cylinder pin or e clip. and a rod attached to the center of the pin of the moving end. My Kioti has a little bracket welded onto the tube end of the curl cylinder itself, and the rod is threaded/bolted to this little bracket. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the lower attachment bracket, only the upper.

Well here you go, his photo's are far more useful as a guide than mine, and the first one also shows the factory "level indicator" on the bucket, such as it is.

None on mine, I have the quick connect bucket. I have seen the level metal plate however I would like to get or fab the rod type.

I have seen the L shaped brackets. I will not be the only one using the loader and need something Fool proof. Thanks for the photo, I think it will help me fab something.

Perhaps you'll find this info from the March 2013 Wholegoods price list useful.

I have just purchased the Kubota 3800 with the L524 loader. Can anyone tell me the capacity of the loader if I am putting 80 psi (Lime) product in it. Thanks

The "524" is the kg capacity of the loader.

I have a 534 loader that came with the "tube" level indicator. If you go to the build it Kubota site and build a 2650 or 3650 you will see that the level indicator is a dealer installed option that prices out at 113 USD. It might fit the 529. Maybe your dealer can tell you. Good luck

Take the first two numbers and multiply by 10 to get the capacity in KG, so it would be 520KG (1146 lb). I believe the "4" indicates the 4th revision. The new loader is the LA525, same capacity but the 5th revision.

I assumed the LA524 was the standard bucket and the LA525 is the SSQA version. Is that not the case?

The LA524 was on the L3200/L3800. The newer L3301/3901 get the LA525. SSQA doesn't change the model number of the loader itself, it's just an option (as are the buckets).

Posting in a 2 year old thread and about something not even related to the thread.

You just bought the tractor but didnt look or ask how much the loader can lift? The lift specs are on kuboas website, in their brochures, in the manual, etc. Not hard to look up. There are a ton of different numbers thought, Lift capacity at 3 different locations, to different heights, breakout forces at different places, etc. Not sure what you are looking for.

Oh, and it dont matter if you are lifting a bucket of lime, dirt, rocks, or feathers. The lift capacity is gonna be the same.

Dumb question. Can you modify a LA524 for SSQA after the fact? Didn't think I'd need pallet forks for my L3800, but looking at doing a bunch of stone work and it might be nice for moving pallets.

Yes you can, Buy the SSQA adaptor from your Kubota dealer and modify the bucket by striping off the "ears" and welding on an easily found SSQA plate (from many different suppliers) or make your own.

Yep, the SSQA just pins on in place of the stock bucket. I seem to remember the cost is about $450 for the kit. As k0ua mentioned, you could re-use your existing bucket by adding a plate to it, but the way the stock bucket is reinforced at the rear, it would be a real chore to convert over in my opinion.

I gave $400 for the SSQA adaptor for an L3400. Of course that has been a few years ago now. As for the bucket conversion, like anything else the first one is the hardest!:) If you have the right tools (plasma cutter would be really nice) it would not be that bad. My conversion has held up, I used the old Kubota bucket a last weekend to pop out some small stumps. It is my "beater bucket" when I do something like that on my Kioti.
