I have studied this situation for 3 yrs. and came up with the same conclusions. Thats why we hired a lawyer to take out a trademark of our own to import our own machines, when or if it ever happens.

I agree that "scrinch" pretty well nailed it. I think everybody knew, (or should have known), that buying gray market could be risky, (that's why it's called gray market), And why one shouldn't invest more, ($2,900 for me), than they can afford to lose if the situation tightens up in the future.

Yes, the way I see it I will easily get my dollars of work out of my unit! I think I will be able to get parts for it for along time also.. I don't know how this will effect resale value? Could make them worth more!

When did Yanmar originally contact/file against Wallace? If they've been playing battling lawyers for 3 yrs, chances are Wallace simply couldn't afford not to sign it.
