I was inveigled into making some landscape changes at a fellows lakeside cottage. He was advised my little B7100 was really not large enough and a backhoe would also be of help. Anyway I agreed to try.

It involved widening the boat ramp and making a level pad for a 14 x 20 foot boat house.

These picture show before and after. :D :D

Now its on to finishing the steps.:D

Eddy, there was more than one day involved. The tractor was way too small, there should of been a backhoe and removing part of the ramp side hill was at about 15/20 degrees with water running out. Wasn't fun with no power steering. About all I could handle was 4 hours till I would get tired and have to stop before Carelessness or slowed reaction set in.:D

I really tried to talk my way out of the job because my equipment was not proper but!!!!:D

Egon,

You are truely a "Master Tractor Craftsman". The Lake looked more beautiful each successive picture. :D ....and your arms, your arms, they must be like pythons!

Nice job!

Egon that looks great. Good job! Watching your projects over the years you sure get the most out of that little Kubota. How old is it and what kind of hours do you have on it now?

Great job Egon. Do you need any special permits near the water in your area? Here the rules are prohibitive.

Nice work on the steps, how did you get the tractor in there?

With regards to permits, I have heard it said "It is easier to do the work and ask for forgiveness later". I don't necessarily agree with it, but sometimes the government wants to not only stick their hand out for money when they shouldn't be, I understand the need for some oversight, but all the permit costs sometimes seem excessive. Ah, but that conversation is for another website I guess.

Hi Egon,
Great project. Boy, it sure turned out nice. I didn't realize you lived right on the lake either. That must be nice. You've got some beautiful country shown in those pictures too. How long did it take to do all that work? And when are you going to start the future boat house projects?

Egon, nice job on the stone work! I still have the cuts from our stone work. Not a bad job just heavy work.

Oh, is that a sunfish in picture 1? and if so do you sail it.

Fellows, that is not our place.:( :( Sigh. Its a nice place.:D

I am doing some landscaping work there for the owner.:D Early last summer I went out to level a load of sand as a favor. Immediately got inveigled into some other things that just seemed to keep on expanding in scope.

Don't know if it is a "Sunfish". I do know I have to move it regularly to get some working room. :D :D

We live in the town of Bridgewater and do have a small piece of land with 1/2 mile of lake shore on a small lake about 45 kilometers away. We may build a small cabin there in the coming years.

Sorry for the confusion.
