I came across a local dealer that has a Lamtrac 6125 in stock. I stopped by, but they were closed and the machine was behind the fence.

I've researched and found the specifics, and found a few similiar threads on here that are a little old, but other than a demo experience, no real information.

Anyone on here have a lamtrac? They seem really narrow at 4'11", but I guess you could put a little wider head on them than the FAE they spec.

Just looking for some long term experience on one and any feedback. Hope to be adding a machine in the next few months.

I like the way they are made. They seem a little narrow to me as well. No real world dealings with them other than observation really.

I looked at one that Tidewater had in Newberry, SC a while back. If I remember it was 2 or 3 year old "new stock" and the price was around $140k.

I'm going to try to stop by the dealer (Tidewater in Peachland, NC) Monday and check it out. I'm a little concerned about the HP at 125. I need to add something that will outperform 2 T320's to justify the cost. Leaning toward the FTX148 right now.

I feel like the under carriage and tracks plus the extra horsepower would be the biggest advantage this machine has over the PT100 or T320 size machines.

It is in a class between the 148 and the skid steers which should be a plus for it. I am surprised really that more are not being used. Maybe they just don't mulch that good???????

If I like the lamtrac enough to do a demo, I'll let you know. The width could be a plus in tight areas, but it seems that there is more than enough HP for the 4' cutting width. You would be leaving HP behind in my opinion. But if you stick a different head with a 5' cutting width on there, it may be better.

My T320 is 6" or so wider than the head which can be a real pain when you are trying to squeeze between trees.

Lamtrac appears to be a good little machine. The videos on youtube didn't show that much production compared to a ctl. A 4ft head? I'm suprised they don't use at least a 5 footer.
If I could find more mulching work the lamtrac would be at the top of the list.
Fishfactor, enjoy the demo and let us know as soon as possible what you think.

Still haven't been able to get by the dealer while they are open. I'm not complaining, it's nice to be busy. I'll post my thoughts once I get to look at it.

Finally caught the dealer open yesterday on the way through. The machine was gone, shipped to another dealer. Maybe next time.

It was probably shipped back to the manufacture due to being unable to sale it?

Hello everyone,
Saw this thread and thought I would take a second to introduce myself. My name is Phil and Im Director of Sales and Marketing here at Lamtrac International.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, Ill do my best to help, and if I dont have the answer, I have our engineering staff at my disposal to figure out anything you want to know.

As for the 6125, it is a very well build machine. Someone described it well, as between a skid steer and a 175-200HP machine. Its a great dedicated mulcher with heavy duty undercarriage, dedicated hydraulic cooling, reversing fans, ect...Buy with its standard skid steer quick attach plate, can be host to a wide variety of implements.

Would love to show it to anyone who is interested. Our sale rate when we do demos is VERY successful, and I could even put anyone in touch with many current owners/operators to get the facts.

Thanks!

Are there any 6125 owners in the NW Florida area?
I would like to see how well they perform.

Phil, Thanks for the info. You might want to set up a couple of demo's in the southeast. I know of several that might attend.

I have a 7230 and I love my ole Lamtrac. They look a little goofy but they work great. I put a 85" head on my 7230 and it out cut the PT300 I had on demo. Plus it would go places the PT could have only dream of. I'm not trying to start a pi$$ing match just stating the facts. I'm waiting for LT int to send me a 400 so I can compare it to my Tigger Cat.

Tidewater Equipment has 6125's in stock, and I know that they are VERY agressive in pricing right now, TiMark80, I can certainly have someone be in touch with you if you'd like, they have a location in Starke Fl...is that close to you? Send me your coordinates and Ill set something up.

Westcoast, glad you are enjoying your 7230. Imagine if you saw our 8290 and 8400 now, these are performing monsters! lolol (I can certainly arrange to have a LTR8400 shown to you if youd like. In fact, if you are serious, we have been known to even invite customers to see the plant so you can see for yourself how these machines are built! :) )
You are right that these are different looking machines for people that arent used to them, even operating them is different...But where you can go with these Quad-Trackmachines is simply amazing.

Hi Everyone,

I'm talking to Tidewater and will try to set demos for everyone to see this machine. I think the best thing to do is, private me your contact info, and Ill be in touch with you and inform you of the plan and how we can best make this work.

Is there anything specific that you guys would like to see or try during the demo?

P

Lamtrac along with NewBrunswick Tidewater sold ME A very USED HEAD WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER REMOVED on what was to be a new machine and head under 50 hours. I FINALLY PROVED IT WAS OLD by the serial number off the rexroth motor AND THEY WOULDN,T HONOR MY WARRANTY, even on the Lamtrac carrier OR REPLACE THE OLD HEAD. THEY JUST STOPPED TAKING MY CALLS.THE FBI IS TAKING FOREVER TO GO AFTER TIDEWATER IN Newbrunswick Georgia. They stopped taking my calls even after Phil WITH Lamtrac promised to make it right. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE GETTING THE MACHINE GPM AND PSI TO BE SAFE FOR THE HEAD. EVEN MY SECOND BRAND NEW HEAD MADE FOR LAMTRAC Couldn't HANDLE THE PREASURE, VERY DANGEROUS. THE WHOLE DEAL HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE AFTER I SPENT MONEY FOR NEW TO AVOID THE PROBLEMS OF USED.
