Steve, I'm interested in how you fabbed the rounded ends of your landplane.

Pretty easy to do Use a compass to draw a half circle on the web of the beam. The center of the compass circle needs to be set back 1/4 of the circumference. In this case (3.14x8)/4=6.28" setback. This enables you to cut out the extra web and then heat and roll the top and bottom flanges together.
The new mini plane will have the boxtubing with curved front and rear edges. On this new one I am using 2"x3/8" flatbar to form the closure of the boxtubing and wrap around the bottom as a wear strip too.

Had an old buried brushpile and smoothed off the mound of dirt that was left, it stopped the tractor a few times but that was a loss of traction. I then used the boxblade to rip out a potholed lane and you guys were right again it worked very well, I borrowed my uncles landscape rake to collect all the large rocks and it turned out well.

catdozer, if you are going to be doing much of this grading, you should consider a Top and Tilt set for your 3pt hitch. They will make a world of difference for you.

I agree, makes a huge difference where obtaining a high degree of finish is important.

I will put a TnT kit on eventually, sooner if we start finishing yards again. But as of now we just have long flat lanes. I'm going to run lines from the loader control to rear for extra hydraulics. So I'll have a total of 3.

I don't see ramps/ slopes on the front of your I-beam skids ... ? If you don't have those, it seems like they will just dig in rather than gliding along your I-beam skids like they should. It may work OK this way, but I think it would work better with the slopes.

I don't have skids yet. I have the steel to make them just been to lazy to do so. But actually they don't dig while grading the lanes but do when leveling the soft dirt. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so it might get done then.

has anyone used a grading scraper on reclaimed asphalt? does it work as well as with gravel? there is a base of gravel, reclaim over it.
