Looking for some input from some folks who have a landscape rake on their 2210.

I need a rake, and will be buying one within the next week or so. My dealer isn't up on attachments for our "limited 3-point". He just points me toward a standard Frontier 60" rake.
After doing a little on-line research, it looks to me that Frontier makes a "low-profile" rake for our machines - low profile helping to gain more room when in the up position...?

On the Deere site, the Frontier rakes LR1060L & LR2060L say for "limited cat 1 hitch"

So, my question - will a standard 60" rake work OK with my 2210, or should I insist on one of the rakes I listed above?

Thanks

I used a standard 72" landscape rake on a 2210. I would recommed getting gage wheels though.

Thanks Chevy -

So you don't have any problems when the rake is lifted (hitting the ground)?

I would definitely get gauge wheels when ordering.

Have the Frontier LR1060L on JD 2210. Good combination. Do not think a different or larger size is necessary. Have the gage wheels and recommend them. Make it an easier to use attachment. The gage wheels are pricey, but worth it.

No I did not have a problem with the rake hitting the ground when it was lifted.

Prosperity,

A standard rake will be a problem, but everything is on the 2210 3-point!

I've got a 6' king kutter standard rake on my 2210. Yeah, I wish I had more lift height but otherwise it's not a huge problem for me. I'm running that little tractor over 22 acres, so I find lots of places to get it in trouble. The terrain definitely rolls, worse than what some people have, not as bad as others. You'll bounce the rake off the ground crossing a ditch and such, but again...the 2210 does that with everything. If I was going to spend a significant amount of time changing grades (ditches, loading ramps...whatever) I'd be pretty interested in a lower profile model. That said, if mine busted in half tomorrow, and I had to choose between two new ones sitting side-by-side: I'd still let quality, price or a combination of the two make the choice for me.

Hope that helped.

Joe

Actually, my dealer has a LR1060L low profile rake in stock - quoted me ~$450.

That is the route I am going.

Thanks for all the input!
