I always thought our <font color=blue>Lawn & Garden</font color=blue> forum was for garden tractors, lawn tractors and mowers, small tools if you didn't post it in Rural Living, etc. We could rename it to Garden Tractors but then any other topics (say ... retaining walls or landscaping questions, for example) might not seem as appropriate.

John - The problem with that is: Nobody would ever visit that forum, which means my posts wouldn't get read, which means my habit wouldn't be rewarded, which means I'd quit posting, which means I'd have to resort to something else, like actually using the equipment, which means it wouldn't be worth anything when I resell it to buy something bigger.

No, it's better this way. As it is, people come into the Other Brands forum hoping to find something of interest, see that there's nothing there but a post from me, but figure they need to reset that blasted new messages counter, so they click on my post, making it at least appear that they read it, and all is right with the world. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I first thought about posting this as a private message, but it seems more appropriate in a public forum such as this. As I've watched the new format come together over the last couple of days, all I have to say is that I'm impressed. Mighty fine job sir, I think you deserve a raise.

Seriously though. Very nice job. Also very nice in terms of navigation. It is much much faster navigating around TBN now, and it all goes together quite well.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I guess I'll piggyback onto what GlueGuy has said here.

Muhammad, you know I reported/observed/suggested/whined as much as anybody about this new realease of TBN (in a constructive way, of course /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif). I want take this opportunity to say that I am purely dumbfounded, not so much for the awesome new features and options, but for the incredible speed with which you addressed virtually all of my petty requests and wishes. Looks like you did the same for dang near everybody else, too.

Not only is this a tremendous improvement over an already excellent site, but it even works on Netscape /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. And Macs. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

The topic comes up every so often adn we always come to the same agreement, that a chat room isn't something that would add a whole lot to the community, since once it's said that's it, and it's not saved as here on the forum ...

Good enough Muhammad. One more question. What about an area to talk about agriculture interests like farming and ranching with respect to raising crops, animals, etc.

That will be part of a more major expansion we have planned for sometime in 2002.

Probably a bit late, but, why is there a "photos" forum? To me, it makes much more sense posting photos in the forum that matches the subject of the photo. That is what happens mostly anyway... Photos of "off topic" stuff can go in the "Off Topic & Just For Fun" forum.
