this is a front bumper we done for a 08 suzuki vinson 500. it's really heavy duty . you can hang the atv from a tree with it and it won't bend. i have to do the rear bumper to now . we sprayed it with some bed liner coating so it would match the rest of the racks on the atv.i mounted a 3000lbs gorilla winch in it to top it off.

i bent everything in a vise with my torch. i'll get a pipe bender one day.the top piece that has the suzuki emblem in it i cut that piece out of the original bumper but the rest is all new.

How about some pics of it in design or build stage, before paint.

i've never tried to bend a section of tubing with my torch......how did you keep it from collapsing? or do you just control your heat and how quickly you make the bend?

you get about 1"of it red hot then put a little pressure on it and as it starts to bend you work the heat up or down the pipe. everyone who tries to bend pipe with a torch just heats up one spot and thats where they mess up.if you heat one spot it will stretch the pipe and cave it in on the sides. now i do get a bit of cave in on mine but after i have it to the angle i want i then come back and heat up the whole bend and smack it with a 2lbs ball-pen hammer to get it back round again. but just remeber never heat up just one spot and try bending it work the heat with the bend.

Another trick is to fill it with river sand, or some sort of sand. That will keep the pipe from collapsing as well and works pretty good.

Those are nice symetrical bends with a torch.

thanks . i got my pipe bender in finally it's a clark 20 ton it bends verticaly or horizonaly. i haven't really used it yeat other than to make a bumper for my rhino. and yes it does look like it's smileing at you .lol. all i did was add on to the stock bumper while it was still mounted to the rhino i never took it off at all not even to paint it. the next one will look better this one is made for mainly laying down the bloodweed and small trees so they don't get caught up in the cv boots and under the hood stuff it seems to be doing the trick. i have been also makin gun parts out of aluminum too sheck out my upper hand guards for the ak47's i haven't go around to the lower's yet because of to much stuff to do but when i d i'll post a picture of the complete set. oh i know the holes on the hand grip are now striaght it was a rush job .lol
