I have a Hunter ProHC controller for our lawn and also use a Rainbird ESP-Me controller for a neighbors lawn. Both are equipped with wifi control. The question is in regard to running a temporary program to, for example, run a couple zones during the night that are behind and need to "catch up".
Its easy enough to write a simple program to run those two zones with a given start time, duration etc. The problem I have is starting the program in short order with a start time set within a few minutes of current time. Seems like these controllers never want to start running a program until at least the following day.
I know how to run zones using manual control but that doesn't work so well for overnight watering. Just wondering if you sprinkler guys can give me some insight.
