Leaf Vacuum

   / Leaf Vacuum #12
I should probably break down and buy a tow behind leaf vac for my ZTR. I presently use a Little Wonder walk-behind blower on a JRCO blower buggy, to push all the leaves into the woods at either edge of my property.

My neighbors who own those woods that boarder my property on each side are gracious enough to allow me to do this, I return the favor in other ways, but it's not efficient moving huge piles of leaves 200+ feet either direction from the center of the yard, and I do end up blocking one of their driveways during the process. Now that they have teen drivers, the traffic on that driveway seems to have increased 4x over prior years, and I hate being an obstacle for anyone.

With a tow-behind leaf vac, I imagine I could either dump the leaves in the woods, or into my trailer for transport to the local mulching facility. Not super convenient either, but anyone who's tried to move a waste-deep 300 ft. wide pile of cherry or oak leaves 200 feet thru grass with a blower knows it means hundreds or thousands of trips up and down the line to get them there.
Cyclone rake, one of the better units out there with good support. I built my vac about 15yrs ago but my dad bought a Cyclone about 3yrs ago and has been very happy with it.

I create a pile of the mulched up leaves in the woods and turn them from time to time. Makes awesome soil after a few years.
