Mahindra 4025
Got a 4025 , had it for 11 mos., have 12 hrs. on it and the crimp connection on the braided fuel line started leaking. It's under warranty but I have to take it to the dealer to be repaired under warranty or I can pay them $99/hr for a service call to replace the line. This doesn't say much for Mahindra quality and this piece of crap still shifts like it's grinding the gears off. Gonna have to pay $26.40 for the gas line and fix it myself.
This $26.40 is going to cost Mahindra a thousand dollars in bad advertising because I'm going to tell everyone I talk to not to buy Mahindra. This thing is junk.

That is bad news. The dealer should send a tech out with a hose and replace it in the field.
I hope the dealer knows he/she is going to get bad press and lose more that it would cost to fix.

What do they say about the grinding gears? When does the warranty expire

Easy there friend. Its almost friday. your repair should not cost you anything! Whats the 26 bucks for?the new hose? Your dealer should be providing that to you free of charge especially if you are going to install it. If you are unhappy with what the dealer is telling you insist on there DSR contacting you. My DSR is great and goes out of his way to make customers happy.

I would think that the repair could be accomplished by you taking it off and mailing it to the dealer. He fixes it and mails it back. At only 12 hours o Smilen the tractor you may be upset that you bought something you did not really need. If you understand the crimp connection you can understand the possibility of a leak . The shifting is something else and should be fixed while under warranty. Fuel line is cheap in the bigger picture. Friend has a Mahindra and likes it for his hog operation. Smile and think ****-be nice it goes further.

Mahindra had a problem for a period with fuel lines not being crimped correctly, don't know if it was an inhouse or supplier problem. It pop'd up a few times on this forum in regards to the 35 series tractors. My take is that there is no problem with the metal line section, or the flex line itself. Just under or over crimped. So, if you want to, and you can carefully cut the old metal crimp off... you could put one or two new ring crimp or SS band clamps on it and fix it yourself. Just a thought.... Either way, warranty or self help... I hope you get the leak fixed soon to your satisfaction. I bought some 5/16" and 3/8" line/clamps to fix mine if it ever leaked, but have had no fuel leak problem on mine since 2011 when it was delivered.

When is the tractor grinding? grind a bit when your shifting into a gear? or feel pressure against the shifter and grinding a lot.. the fuel line is an easy fix not near worth the fuss especially after having the tractor for almost a year and hardly using it.

My 4035 with braided lines leaked twice, first time was under warranty second time not. The second time, I replaced the line myself and the new line was no longer braided. Also, both times the leak was not at the crimp, it was in the rubber beneath the braided sheath.

My JD had similar "JUNK" braided lines. Maybe they were old stock left over from WW II.

Bills Tractor your dealer? He should give you the line, and you can replace it. My dealer gave me all three of the braided hoses for my 4025.
