Leaking quick couplers

Convert them all to skidsteer/flushface couplers - probably as cheap as the various other ISO types you can source - and it's a design that meant to minimize all the dripping and drooling:

A year ago I would have had to agree with you. Had them on my loader 3rd function since new. I never had a problem connecting them and could not understand why others did. Then, out of the blue, they started being a pain to connect, though nothing has been changed. Now I'm seriously considering switching to the Faster push-pull like is on the rear.

Well, It appears that no one maker has the market cornered on "leakers"

I should have done a more thorough search. This is the type of information I was looking for.

Piloon

If only one could "just pick up and o-ring " at the grocery store. Even the auto parts stores around here are less than useful. No "tractor supplies" within 20 miles. Unless you count TSC, and I don't!

Cheers

Anyone who owns tractors and does their own work on things, it is a worthwhile investment to buy a few o-ring assortment kits. I like to keep a 3/32" set and a 1/8" set. I have found that covers most everything on my tractor and backhoe. Weather it would work in couplers or not, i dont know cause I have never replaced one of them. Those o-ring kits are pretty cheap.

I've got a set of o-rings in a handi see through divider box. It has two sizes.. too small, and too big,,, ;-)

I must of used the Goldilocks sized ones years ago. ;-) Plus, A look at the sets sold at the FLAPS they are all made in China, and I just have this thing that tells me they are not the "best that money can buy".

They would go perfect with the couplings made in china.

Not sure where my sets are made from, but they werent expensive so my guess is china. Never had an issue. Its just an o-ring, not a swiss watch with a hundred moving parts.

Yes but you see Chinese O rings are made from recycled chewing gum scraped from the streets of shanghai. They have people just for that! :D

Well, IF that were true, the o-ring in the coupling should be leak tight.

Alas, Reality does not work that way...;-)

Slow leaks are some of the most anoying things there are. :irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::thumbdown:

So where is a good place to get some of these assortment kits? I just noticed a leak on one of my accessory hydro couplers on my JD F935.

I would recommend the factory o-ring kits for the specific QD.

Maybe you think you know the size and type material, but I bet you are not sure.

Oh, it look right, lets use that black rubber band.

It is just to easy to shortcut I guess.
