Before the Lumens, there was "candlepower" Companies boasted a kazillion CP on their lights. Wasn't any different, still overrated. Jc Whitney, take your pick of lights. A couple of european like Lucas, Hella, Bosch and Cibie made outstanding lights for the rally car market. I still have a 50 year old Cibie Super Oscar that was my go to light on many vehicles. Now, for the money, Rigid is the one. Cost more, yes. Quality comes at a price. I have a 10 inch Rigid that will outperform 2 20 inch Chinese bars at once. Had a problem with it, sent it back for repair, lifetime warranty. They sent me a new one free of charge. On my tractor I chose cheap Chicom Amazon lights. Not plowing or blowing at 70 mph. Even the cheap lights will shine 2-300 ft, plenty for the job at hand. If they crap out, no problem, no jab in the pocket. At the price point, to reduce shipping just purchase a few spares.
