Interesting. You are correct about the pins. My plow is a very heavy all steel 8'. Occasionally I do tip it down. Did that work awhile back. So far with all the stresses no breaks. I have caught the edge of the many times but so far all good.I added a cushion valve to my front setup. It has definitely been activated when I've hit a few things.
