For the sake of discussion, lets consider two loader buckets. The first is the traditional fabricated bucket that is mostly square-ish and made from multiple flat sheets of steel. The second is the "round back" bucket that has a radius at the back of the bucket.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each design and what purpose is each type ideally suited for? Is one "better" than the other and why?
The buckets would be used on a tractor FEL, not a skid loader. I'm aware that there are many, many specialised buckets for skid loaders.
