Sorry for your losses.

My Mom died at 94, 4 years ago this coming December.

Here's a pic of her and Dad on their wedding day. Dad's Sister and Mom's Brother in attendance. Taken in 1946 when he came home from the War.

Looks like they were getting ready to go to church! No indoor plumbing was a way of life until I was a Senior in high school; we always had electricity, and an old Kellog crank telephone, but no indoor plumbing. I didn't mind the outdoor facilities so much as I did taking a bath in the old galvanized wash tub in the Winter.

Great picture. I have very few pictures of my Mom and Dad.

My Mom was very good at keeping pictures. I inherited the job from her. Have hundreds of pics and documents dating back to the mid 1800s. Great treasures.

Here's one of me on a swing in late 50s. Farm I grew up on grandparents next door and together we had three Packards then.
They were great cars, like riding on a sofa.
"Ask the man who owns one" I believe was their slogan. Dad (rip) let me "drive" when just he and I were out (don't tell Mom! She's 93). Dad was right there in full control in case I went off the road.
Grandad let me "fly" his Cessna the same way, I was a little kid, he'd say "I'm about to pass out...you'll have to take over. Watch the gauges, take it easy".

When I die I want to go like grandpa in his sleep, not yelling and screaming like his Cessna passengers.

My gg gf married Sarah Adams b1853 of Sedalia mo. Got several undocumented photos labeled Sedalia. Don’t know if they are her as a baby, or other relatives at a later date.

GG gf was born local in 1846, last of 10 children. His father was born in Ireland 1791 and came to US around 1831. GGG gf bought farm next to our farm in 1852. He passed it to my GG gf, who passed it to my Ggm. She sold it around 1955. Dad had already bought farm next door around 1948.

Sedalia MO didn’t really become a real town until the RR arrived in 1861, so I suspect my GGGgm family moved there later on. It’s very unlikely she was born there. Wonder how they met. They married in 1874.

I love this stuff!!!! Thank you very much for sharing!!!

I also love old cars. With that said, greatest thing about that picture is the boy riding the "swing horse" or whatever it is, can't tell for sure!!!!

This is my GGF with his first car, purchased when he was an old man.
