I'm the youngest of three. I was born in 51. I'm just a pup.

My oldest sister and brother taken around 1953.
The side porch of our old house with water tank to catch rain water.
Door from this porch went into kitchen, and window in back was mom and Dads bedroom, where my crib was later on.

1956 Dad on our pond in a homemade rowboat. I know we made another homemade rowboat in the basement in the mid 60s.
even my Grandfather took it for a spin

Here's one of me on a swing in late 50s. Farm I grew up on grandparents next door and together we had three Packards then.
They were great cars, like riding on a sofa.
"Ask the man who owns one" I believe was their slogan. Dad (rip) let me "drive" when just he and I were out (don't tell Mom! She's 93). Dad was right there in full control in case I went off the road.
Grandad let me "fly" his Cessna the same way, I was a little kid, he'd say "I'm about to pass out...you'll have to take over. Watch the gauges, take it easy".
Picture is either Cessna or his Taylorcraft View attachment 661759View attachment 661764

That does not look like a fabric covered airplane (T-Craft), which would mean that it is in fact a Cessna.

I know someone who works for Cessna/Beachcraft...I was told that if you have the desire and the money, you can still get a new Beachcraft Bonanza!

I'm really enjoying the old family pictures and everyone sharing their stories.

Here is my mom with my grandparents back in 1958. Mom had moved away from the farm in Northern Saskatchawan to the big city in North Battleford, which is why she was allowed to wear jewelry in this picture. My grandparents left Ukraine when the soviets took over, and they bought a small farm without electricity or running water. I only have a few memories of the farm and grandpa giving me a ride on his tractor with the cows getting out of our way. Then they sold the farm and moved to the local town of St Walburg. Mom said that the kept a candle going all night in the outhouse so you could find it, and keep it warm.
