Thank you very much for the pics. I can smell it. Love the smell of old barns.

You can't build that. Regardless of dollar amount. What a treasure!!!!!

I saved one of the two barns on my farm. It's a small dairy barn with a loft. I'll dig up a picture.

Thanks again for the pics. Most importantly thanks for saving your barn!!!

I'm sure you were just like I. Looking at the background stuff. I believe we are looking into his Soul. In a good way. :)

The down stairs was used for the farm animals and is mostly unused. The milking parlor at one end I use for storage currently and the other end has a feeding area with cribs for feed. The middle area has pens for animals. Hay was stored on the two mezzanine decks upstairs and trap doors allowed for dumping hay down to the lower floor. Also there is hoist under the top beam in the roof that was used to hoist up hay to the mezzanines. It runs the full length of the barn

I grew up filling hay lofts using the rail at the peak of the roof. Wagons parked outside the loft door. Hay forks could pick up 4 square bales at a time. Rope/pulley system went out the back of the barn where a tractor was used to pull the hay inside the barn. Great memories.

Cool. Hard work. My fork is just above the rope hanging in the middle of the pic.
