If I read you right Warren, you would still have to screw in or out the adjustment. thats what we are trying to avoid. A very simple set up is what's on my BIL's Ford 6600. There is just a stiff bar on one side to keep it from going side to side. The stiff bar (1/4" steel) attaches near the axle, then slips on the 3pt pin after implement is on. the single lynch pin holds the implement and the stiff bar on. Pretty simple there but not sure I can adapt it easily to my small L.
