That has almost everything you need together, you will need to add a platform, an automatic battery tender (or just use the charger) and either replace the hand valve with a electric one, or run a pair of ropes to move the handle up or down.

For the stairs in your house, find a used stairchair, should be available for under $500 for a basic one for straight stairs if you can wait.

Not the op, but a member here from Sask. I have a donor machine. Clarke 2500 lb cap. Paid $750cdn. Didn't dicker on the price as other masts are listed quite a bit higher in price. Shelled out another $160 to have it decked to the acerage. The battery is listed at 2900 lbs. Salvage recovery will come close to the purchase price. I'm thinking that the hydraulic is the way to go. The platform can only come down at the rate of fluid loss in case of failure. Cable hoists, unless equipped with elaborate braking or Otis style lock-up, will crash in the blink of an eye. On another plus, the weight is on a concrete floor, not weight hanging on a beam or rafter. Just my two bits worth.

I bought this one for $300. I came close to buying another similar one for $500 but decided I didn’t have any use for it. This one actually has potential to be useable with some repairs.

Looks like there are deals to be had. We also have a Big Joe electric fully counterweighted walk behind. Needs a circuit for the fwd drive looked at. It's too good to cannibalize for the barn project.

I’ve seen those for sale cheap. I looked at buying one before but it wasn’t propelled and none of my buildings are perfectly fast in front and I wanted to go outside so it was no use.

Fwiw, I found a video that is very, VERY close to what I was looking for:

I don't do the Tube, but from the static pictures I found, that seems to use the HF Hoist I mentioned a few posts back. The 2K capacity runs just under $300

But I still don't believe I'd ride it up.

I have the 400 pound version in my garage and it works well for what little I do with it..
