I think i read a post somewhere here (and I can't find it again), that there is a gold rod, springs, and an adjustable stop block that can be used to setup a lift stop for the three point hitch on a BX2200. It is located under the seat. Can any one tell me how to adjust this lift stop. Thanks in advance. Love my BX...
Page 32 of the BX1800-BX2200 Operator's Manual says, "Implement Lowering Limit: The lower limit can be changed by adjusting the position of the locker. Shifting the locker backwards raises the lower limit and shifting it forward lowers the lower limit."
So take the right sized socket or a small crescent wrench and loosen the bolt (item #5 in the picture), not too much or it'll fall out and you'll never find it. Then move the locker (item #2) in the desired direction and retighten. There are no set stops on it so you'll have to play around with the right implement hooked up to get the proper setting. Oh yeah, you have to have the implement raised to do this.
This is a bit of a pain. Not much space to work with and no set stops. I have to play with it for 10-15 minutes to get my rotary mower set to the proper height every time I attach it. And if I don't tighten it enough the #$%^ thing drops while I'm mowing and I scalp the land. Just one more reason for me to keep borrowing my neighbor's RFM.
