Garth,
I'd check at your local office supply stores for a solution to store manuals. Rubbermaid makes a clipboard that has a weatherproof compartment under the board. There are also many vinyl folios that zip closed making a semi-weather proof, spacious, folder. Either could be velco'd to the ceiling of your canopy. The folio idea is handy to use even if you don't keep it on your tractor. It works great to store all manuals, receipts, and service records in your shop.

Looks good Garth. Here is a picture I took last weekend of a new JD 3005. The salsman told me the black Themos looking thing was a container for the owners manuals. It may be what you have in mind, EL.

That's exactly what the "Thermos" is for...storing manuals. If you use one, prepare to enjoy permanently curled up books to read.

How do you like the 6" spacing? I building one for myself with 6" spacing to use as a rake

Nice looking rig and with all that brush around, looks like you will have some seat time.

In the 2nd pic the lab looks like he is asking if he needs to be in another pic or if he wired the back lites correctly after watching you do the front ones!!

Garth,

there is a black "tube" kind of container that Frontier makes for their attachments. My JD dealer gave me one to try when I was looking for a toolbox solution for my 2035.

It is appox 13" long and 3" in diameter with tabs and holes predrilled for mounting.

Check it out...

Nice setup BTW...

Garth - Nice looking machine.

Have you considered attaching something to the back of the seat instead of the roof?

Seems like a much easier place to store manuals and maybe some hand tools.

I found this company on TBN here, and they have all sorts of document holders for a lot less money than Global Industrial does. These are black, Global's are red. Once I figure out a good place to mount one of these holders, I plan to order one. Right now I'm thinking between the seat back and SMV placard.
