I would like to put 2 lights on top of the roll bar on my BX2360 as well as a rear work light for winter snow removal . Can anyone tell me if the electrial system can handle it . I would wire them direct to the battery with an in line fuse. 2- 55 watt on top and one in the rear, i would not run them all at the same time

Welcome to TBN..

You'll need to figure out if the dynomo/generator has been upgraded to an alternator and what it's amperage output is.

To figure out what amperage is needed for each lamp, take the wattage and divide it by 12 (or the voltage output of the dynomo/generator or alternator) to get the amperage draw. 55w/12v = 4.58A.

The dynomo doesn't put out many amps. I can't exactly remember off the top of my head but it was something like 14A or something rediculous. And you have to remember that the 14Amps needs to supply everything on the tractor.

I ended up replacing the SPST headlight switch with a SPDT and connecting the headlights to one throw, and the rear work lights to the other. This eliminates the draw from one set of lights while the other is on.

The BX2360 has an alternator. Not sure when exactly they switched over but even my BX2350 has one. If I remember correctly it's a 40 amp alternator.
You'll be fine with 2 more lights.

You have a 40 amp alternator. Headlights are 35 watts each, tail lights maybe 10 watts. Total about 8 amps. 3 added lights at 55 watts will use about 14 amps. Total use, 22 of the 40 amps available.

Actually, you could add 6 or 7 lights...

I have two 55 W lights on my BX2350. Do the BX2360s have the unused bullet connector hidden above the rear PTO like mine does?

I have both of mine underneath the top of the ROPS, so that they don't get caught on limbs. One pointed forward, one rearward. Works very well. However, the **** bugs like the lights too, so I only use them when absolutely necessary. (When going fast, the bugs can't swarm around you, but you realize just how many you're running into!)

You can get really cheap lights at Harbor Freight (not the route I went), but the BXpanded solution is very close to what I built, and would've bought those had they been available then. Besides, they're using real Hella lights... can't beat that.

Come on LB, give him a link at least. If he just reads all your posts global warming will have eliminated snow before he finds the right one! MikeD74T
