Kubota B3200
Hey everyone.

I just joined TBN last night and have seen some great projects and ideas.

I purchased a B3200 this summer and use it for everything -mowing with a Land Pride 72" finish mower; front end loader (so much better than a shovel and wheelbarrow) and soon to try out the front end snow blower.

My question concerns utitlity lights that I would like to install on my ROPS because I just don't think the headlights are going to cut it, especially with the front blower installed.

I plan on installing two front facing 50 to 55 watt lights and a rear flood/work light.

I plan on using the existing utility light wiring but my concern is the wattage being used.

Are any modifications needed for this project or are the stock items on the tractor sufficient (ie- fuses, wiring, alternator, etc)

Any comments, ideas, pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

3 work lights of that wattage will consume 100% of the factory dynamo's output. You'll want to either get the 40A alternator upgrade kit or go with LED.

Among the pictures below you will see one with the factory headlights and one with just the LEDs on the ROPS. Each light draws 1.05A and output is 1100 lumens.

Are you using the same LED's that Birdman has listed in his post he linked in this thread? If not could you tell me the type/model # of that light you're using? Also are these 12v or 24v lights?

Reason I ask is when looking at your picture compared to Birdman's it looks like your LED's may be putting out more light. I need to add lights to my ROPS and I need to see as much distance as possible.

Thanks for the help.

These ones do the trick quite nicely as well...

LED's are great...unless being used in snow conditions

Most cities that changed traffic signals and street lights to LED now regret it because the lights will not produce sufficient heat to melt snow

Just something to think about
