I posted this also in M/F forum, but didn't know if it applied to other brands. I have a subcompact tractor GC 2310. I was told the attachments for this machine, possibly other subcompacts as well, because of low clearance need lo pro attachments. The attachments for compact machines won't work because of height difference. My dealer sells lo pro york rakes, the price I got was 650.00 for rake and an additional 300.00 for the wheel kit. Is this the going rate for this attachment. Thank You. plowking

I used to own a bx22 and some attachments were too big for it. Woods had a line of estate attachments for sub compacts. I would suggest you ask in the kubota forum some of the bx owners where they purchase there attachments or how they adapted them to fit David

Plowking,

KingKutter also sells a line of implements designed for the sub-compacts. I see them at the TSC all the time. Northern Tool also offers some S.C stuff, I think from Howse. Check the TSC site and Northern to compare prices.

I would still go with full CAT1 attachements. The extra weight is worth it. Not to mention, in my area, the lo pro implements cost as much or a couple of bucks more than the standard size. In order to get additional lift height, you could also consider getting a quick hitch. This will in effect move you attachement points back about 3" and give you more lift height.

Do a search in the Kubota Operating forum, this topic has been discussed many times.

Plowking, I have a Kubota BX2200, the same size as your MF and all the attachments that I use are CAT1, I use the appropriate size for my tractor and I have no problem with lifting, using, or pulling what I have. I use a 4' rototiller, one row cultivator, combination middlebuster/subsoiler, post hole digger w/9" auger, brothers 5' rotary cutter and I have my loader on the front for ballast, light duty 7' rear blade that I use for the small amout of snow that we get, 4' box blade weighted with a 8" I beam and concrete blocks. I have the Pats Easy Change that make changing attachments 90% easier, I also have a 14" single bottom plow that I adapted to TPH and probably some other stuff I've forgotten. I have looked at and priced the XB or LO PRO attachments, but they are made of lighter material and the ones that I have seen are more money than the standard CAT1 implements, didn't seem too smart to me to pay more money to get less. Ain't it fun navigating all the ins and outs of tractoring.:D

Thank you for your replies. I have a friend with a kubota, a little bigger then mine, he has a 60 inch graderblade and 72 inch yorkrake and a quickhitch, I was thinking of trying them, because the price is good, even if I just bought the rake. I could resell the larger piece to a landscaper. I was wondering if lower tines, wheel adjustments would make a difference. plowking

I agree with Milkman and Kwolfe.
I'm using all of my Cat 1 stuff with my BX2350 and it works fine.

My Rake didn't raise as high for transport as it did on my old Ford1210, but how high does it need to be for transport? As long as it doesn't scuff on hills and dips it should be fine.

You can raise them some by tightening/shortening your toplink. Their beams may not run perfectly level with the ground, but, again, it would be a matter of splitting the difference between a decent transport heigth and the git-r-done heighth. After raking you can always twist-up the top link a bit for transport.

I personally think all this talk of "Limited Cat 1" is really for the lawn&garden style tractors that now can be fitted with those psuedo-Cat-1 3point linkages, now there you might run into fitment problems.
