Loader Loader attachments

Should be getting my 5045d with 512 loader back from Deere today. The loader has a quick release for bucket detachment, but I was just curious if after-market attachments (spear, forks, etc.) would work instead of having to buy all John Deere products/attachments?

Some companies make deere compatible QA attachments. Other option is to change to skid steer type attachment. I've made a couple of JD QA attachments. You can buy the pins, hooks from JD and weld up to other makes.
