I like the idea of the movable camera. That may be something to consider with the second input. Would be cool to have it completely wireless. They have inexpensive wireless transmitters. Only problem is a power source. I wonder if someone makes a complete self contained unit?

X2! I'd like a smartphone-viewable unit. I have an open station so a permanent screen isn't the best idea........but the pallet forks are a PITA.

Threepoint, does this help?

Also, here's a better view of the screen bracket I made.

Mangus, unfortunately the view is just of the back of the bucket. I toyed with the idea of mounting the camera to the brush guard for a different angle, but found the view of the fork tips obstructed and the camera more vulnerable.
You're welcome to come and check it out for yourself. Where in N.Y.are you?

Here's a pic of a camera on our pallet forks unloading pallets of bees at night. Missing the pallet slot and poking a hole in the hives isn't a great experience.

edit: camera is mounted on a magnet on the lowest backplate shelf for easy moving from the forks to wherever is needed.

Thanks for the links JL. Just ordered the pair. This should solve my backing up issues. I had side mirrors but they were always getting reorientated and one ended up broken. Tried a rear view mirror but that doesn't give me the visibility I need.

I have the SwiftHitch and use it when it is critical that I see the front of the forks etc. It is extremely nice to have a portable wireless setup. I would use it more except I tend to forget I have it. But be careful when using it on the tractor. It would be pretty easy to start doing other projects and knock off the camera some where along the way.

That's some nice work OP!
I've been threatening to do this on my Kioti PX9020 for a few months now.
I think this thread is the inspiration I need!

sweet project
do you have a link to that removable/separate, wire harness?
also I assume you have to cut end off each and rewire them do you have any pics on how to do that.

Don't the newer go pro's have the ability to transmit to your cell phone? They have a ton of mounts available. Not exactly cheap but it could be used for other things as well.
