Thanks all for your comments, the loader is based on plans from PF Engineering which I modified and converted to metric for use on this side of the pond. The loader has worked out to around AUD $3,000 , not sure on a big brand name loader cost at this end but have seen loader for import Kubota's (similar size) in the region of AUD $4500 this was back in 04. We have suffered the same rise in steel pricing over here since then with steel going up almost 50% in the last year. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Pricing was not the only factor in building it myself I wanted the challenge/satisfaction of making something useful that will save my back and stop me making excuses for not getting round to some jobs. Next project will be rear ballast for sure.
Plates on ROPS are my usual over engineering, bigger foot prints should work better (I figure) if I ever need it & it make the machine look faster don't you think??
Paint has suffered already but that new feeling only lasts for as long as it take to take the pictures around here.
