loader lift slowly

Unplug them, then plug them back in and make sure they are fully seated. But since you do not have them...your hydraulic pump may have quit.

would changing the hydraulic fluid somehow have ruined the pump?

Only if you installed the wrong fluid, but your loader did not work before you changed the fluid. If it were me, Id either, A, remove the pump, if not real hard to get out, and bring it to a hydraulic shop, or B, bring the whole tractor to a dealer. Have you certainly replaced any and all hydraulic filters?

Are you lifting the loader at idle and it stopping about three ft off the ground?

He said his 3pt is working so how could it be a failed pump?

Try setting the engine rpms up and lowering the 3 pt and see how the loader works. Check your fluid level. On your loader joy stick, is it attached firmly. I had a joy stick.on my backhoe that got loose without me realizing it and it was working slow. At first I thought it was hydraulics but it was the mechanical connection.

Kubota L225 Hydraulics:

Pressure: 1700 psi [117.2 bar]
Total flow: 3.7 gpm [14.0 lpm

Remove the hose from a lift cyl and see if you have the tractor pump flow.

The flow is blocked somehow, and the logical fail with loaders is the QD's, but you say you don't have them.

Is the relief relieving at the 3 ft point?

If you use a pressure gage, you might solve the problem.

Does your tractor have a hydraulic tank on the right hand side by the loader valve or does it use the tractor hydraulics? I believe external hydraulics were an option. If so the loader uses a hydraulic pump driven off the front of the engine crankshaft and the 3pt uses a different pump.

Today when I got home from work, I tried it again and it seems to be working fine. I didn't use it under load, but it appears to be working. Late last night, I went out and turned on the pto to see if it would work (it did) so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. It does not have an external tank of any kind that I can see. By the way, the loader control has two joy sticks and they have a lot of play in them, especially the one that controls the up and down movement of the loader. I want to thank everyone for the comments and suggestions, they are much appreciated!

I have another question. When my 3 points is engaged, my loader moves much more slowly than when I release the 3 point lever. Any thoughts on this??

Sounds as if 3 pt feedback rod is adjusted incorrectly causing 3 pt relief valve to open when 3 pt is fully raised therefore lowering available hyd pump output plus causes hyd oil to heat while relief valve is open.
