Really got the chance yesterday to give my JD553 loader a workout yesterday. It is a blast and awesome what it can do. I used it to begin moving a large concrete block/brush pile. No problems picking up this heavy stuff. I also dug some dirt to start filling in low areas at a base of a hill. It worked wonderfully. Stll learning the best methods to operate it and am going to put it to the same tasks today. What a great tool to own!

I know what you mean:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: I wouldn't have bought my tractor if it wasn't for the loader. Your JD 553 is 4WD right?

Roy, I was thinking the same thing. I am 63 years old and was tickled to death a few months ago when I was finally able to afford my 2003 L5030.

My grandfather died and left me his tractors............i sold both of his tractors which left me with about 18k. Bought a used kioti (10k)....hated it, but made some cash with the kioti though over the summer......sold it for (9k)..... took the money from the summer and about 20k total, and my parents put in 2,500 i think.... BUT PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT MY FAMILY AND I ARE UPPER CLASS PEOPLE, WE ARE NOT RICH AT ALL

Impressive young fella! Instead of cashing out the equipment and buying toys, you got something that should make a little income, and you're getting some valuable experience running machinery and a business. Good Luck. Oh yeah, ROP's w/ seat belt at all times. Can't afford to loose a productive member of society, few and far between now a days.

Only would think that you're Upper class people if you had a cab with A/C. Wait a minute...I got a cab with A/C...I'm mooovin' on up!!:D

Good for you kid. I know kids that blow money on garbage at least you have something to show for it.

When I was younger I wanted a Porsche in the worst way. I started rebuilding VW's and kept selling them and moving up. I finally bough a trashed Porsche and rebuilt it over two or three years bolt by bolt, sold it and bought a better one until I owned a really nice car.
I saw a lot of kids that came from more money than me who didn't have the cars I had.

Keep doing it your whole life and when you're my age you'll be in good shape if all goes well.
I retired at 46 with several patents and my technical designs are all over the world in many languages. For the last 19 years have been living a great retired life. Today I buy the tractor I want all because I knew where I was going.

Here's a tip. Go to school and educate yourself. As Einstein said, "knowledge is power". I've helped several kids get through college and everyone is marginally better off.

Actually, he inherited his grandfathers tractors, and sold one to buy the kioti. He sold the second tractor and kioti to get his 4320. I am sure glad that im not the only one my age who buys tractor stuff over other junk. Yesterday, i bought my 3rd JohnDeere imatch system for my Dad's 3720. Cant wait to hook it up tonight! I got it for $50 from a guy who had 3 in a stock pile, all are brand new. i think im gonna buy the other 2, can always use them for FEL projects.:D Or if i happen to get another tractor.:p:laughing: It sure will save my Dad's back since we occasionally have to hook up an MX6 which normally takes around 20 minutes.
