:confused2:
That explains it, I was wondering how they were selling them so cheap. Sounds like a good way to burn up your hydraulic system??? I'm surprised they get away with that.

Have you seen a price for them? There is nothing on their website.

OK here are the pics from the dealer modified blower. If you look in the bottom left corner it does say HARDY, so I guess my assumption is correct.

The cylinder for the chute rotation was removed.

I was also back at Cabela's and here are more pictures of the Sheyenne Toolings model.

Just for info on the Rear Power Pack and Tractor Loader Front Snow Blower cost. I took my existing 6' rear blower + some steel and mounted sans 6' Kubota 852 bucket. I had a 3 pte rack where I mounted the 20 gpm pump and 25 gal. tank. 3/4" hosing et al came close to 3,000 dollars US. I have it on a Kubota L4610 glide-shift and it works beautifully. Sounds like the subject super sale is indeed that.............. There is much work to do what I did plus owning the blower. One thing using the existing tractor hydro fluid would help to heat it up...................... mine runs barely warm and I have used no more than 15 gallons of tank hydraulic fluid. I have posted plenty pictures here on my build. Once you have one of these you'll never look back...............

Carl

I'm not endorsing using the tractors hydro supply................

tell you what, i have a loader mounted blower, and it has a separate 25 gal hyd tank. After an hour of blowing snow, that tank is hot to the touch. Id hate to think of the tractors system running this blower.

im actually thinking of adding a transmission cooler to my setup.

With a step up gear box, two ports of return for cooling, and an extra filter that would also function as a cooler, I would not be worried. I think I am interested.

My original posting was for my dealers built blower. Which appears to be a Hardy Lynx, by Pronovost, 3pt blower that they modify to loader mount. He also uses a power pack which he did mention something like 25 gal. Seemed like a good price compared to all the others I priced.

it does need some kind of hyd tank for cooling.

It does.

I think we may be talking about 2 different things. I started this thread about a blower my dealers builds, his setup includes a rear mounted power pack with tank.

Someone else brought up the ones that are at Cabelas, which I just had happened to see and have photos of. Theirs are the ones that do not have a separate hyd supply.

Either way I agree that I would get a system with the rear power pack.
