I was also back at Cabela's and here are more pictures of the Sheyenne Toolings model.

Why they did not turn that thing into a true single stage with a solid auger with short narrow width flighting I will never understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cross augers rotate as fast as the impeller as they are connected GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not so. Look at this picture:

It the speed is stepped up from the motor to the impeller (large sprocket on motor, small sprocket on impeller) and stepped down for the right side cross auger (small sprocket on the shaft coming from the motor and large sprocket on the cross auger).
Also note the bearing on the inner end of the RH cross auger.

The cross auger is slower yes but the issues are the same

When you see their videos you can see the problems this
unit has with wet snow.

Per their video, the cross auger spins at 183-200RPMs and the 2nd stage fan spins at 1100-1200RPM (they said that the fan spins at 1100-1200RPM and its 6x as fast as the cross auger), thats about twice as fast as a rear snowblower fan on 540RPM.
Which video are you referencing as having problems with wet snow? I see the one on their page where it isn't doing much in thin snow, but thats no different than I have seen with a 2 stage walk behind blower.

Again the design of any two stage snow caster with open cross augers
is problematic because not everyone has powder snow.
If these things were made as single stage units they would
perform much better and could not be plugged with wet snow.
