My 3720 only has about 60hrs on it and my loader is stopping about 3/4 of the way when I go to dump it and won't finish until I release pressure on the joy stick and then try again? I've also noticed that there is a LOT of play in the joystic ? I just saw the dump problem last night when I was moving dirt.
While it only has 60hrs, these have been 'tough' hours as I had to clear an area for a new pole barn and level it all using the tractor. I now have two dump trucks worth of dirt I need to move to finish supporting the barn (see previous post).

Anyway, tractor is less than a year old, I'm at work and I have no idea (forgot) what the warranty is on the tractor. Going to call the dealer when they open up in a few, and I hope they can fix I for free.

Don't overlook the hydraulic oil reservoir being low, that'll do it....

Thanks, didn't think of that.

Pull the dust cover off the four way and make sure all the little mounting screws are tight, they can wiggle loose and cause all kinds of weird actions...or inactions in your case. If you find a loose one, try a dab of mild or medium locktite and tighten it firm but not angry at the fastener firm, remember it is fragile.

Definatally should still be under warrenty. I would let the dealer handle it. You dont want to mess something up on your own and cause them to NOT honor a warrenty.

Not sure on deere either, but most CUT's call for oils and filters @ 50hrs. Have you done a 50 hour service yet?

I'm thinking there is nothing wrong. This is the way the dump cycle works using the regenerative circuit feature. Just that you are not moving the joy stick far enough for the system to work correctly.

Mine will operate that way if I move the joy stick to the "dump" (curl down) position part way between the curl down slow and the curl down fast.

This thread may help.

I haven't done the 50hr service yet. I'm out of town all next week, so giving it to the dealer works for my schedule.

The joy stick has been loose since I first got it, so since my schedule works out, I'm having them look at it too.

Thanks for the replies, I'll let you know what the dealer says.

gonna agree with beenthere,my 430 loader operates the same way.the loose lever is not normal though.that first service is important for sure.i do my own service work, and when i did the first service for the hydro,it did have alot of metal particles in the one filter.normal break in though and JD expects that and that is the reason for the low hour service.good luck.

I used it for 2hrs before I left Sun afternoon, and decided it's working fine. It still pauses when dumping, but a lot of you say that is normal, so I'm going to leave it alone and do the 50hr service when I get home this weekend.

Thanks for all the replies, you saved me a weekend without my tractor!!
