( I have to know what their price is /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif!! I know list price on the L48TLB-sg is $41,000!! )

$41,000 is list before many required options are put on. That does not includes buckets for the hoe or loader, work lights, pads, aux remotes, cutting edges, etc... most are sold on pretty much every L48.

Not sure who you got quotes from. I have dealt with Chappell in Brentwood and they have been great for parts. I have not had any service done there, nor did I buy there. I have two neighbors with Kubota's bought from MB. A BX22 (or 2200, the one you can't get a bh for) and another with a 7500. The guy with the 2200 payed as much as I did for my TC24. He his happy though had a little service work done (50 hour service, and dealer upgraded alt).

The other with the 7500 is not happy with the service from MB. His father has a larger Kubota (don't know what model) and he is also unhappy with the service.

I have talked with the sales guys from there a couple of times and I will not buy anything from them.

I did talk to a Kubota dealer in NY, and was very pleased with them. The dealer in Keene never got back to me. I ended up going a different color though.

Not to sway you from Orange, but I have talked a bit with Northwood Power Equipment. They have a shop in Northwood, Pembrooke, and I believe Markwell Equipment in Merrimack. I have been to the Pembrooke store a couple of times and they have a lot of stuff. Sales guy was really nice. They sell Massey, Agco (orange /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) and now Kioti (orange too /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif). Chappell in Brentwood and the Northwood Power Equipment in Pembrooke are real tractor stores. Not just power equipment (Saws and stuff). The Markwell equipment site had a few tractors, and was mostly a power equipment store.

I think Markie61(could have been someone else) bought a massey from the Northwood store and has been very happy.

Anyway, good luck.

pekabu - I've been to Northwood Power Equipment, and allmost bought an Agco, but I have my heart set on the L48.

I talked to my local dealer today, MB Tractor in Eliot, ME, and he can't touch the deal I'm getting at the other place. I talked with him about service and warranty work, and he was very decent about it, said I'd be taken care of.

I'm putting my order in at the other place tomorrow. I'll let you all know what I'm getting and how much I'm paying. If this dealer wishes to let you know who he is - he knows about this thread - then I'm going to let him let you know.

How often would you want to stand up while the tractor is MOVING?

Since we are talking list prices here, Neil, can you give us the break down of what the list prices are for all the optional equipment that is available for the L48. I am thinking of buying one, since my BX22 is small for some of the work that I am doing. My thoughts are a machine like Larry's with a cab and hydraulic leveling.

Junkman,

Go to the State of Minnesota site and download the L35/L48 Kubota price list. Sorry, I do not have the link but I am sure you can do a search for it. If you can't find it PM me and I will email you a copy.

Thats probably the best resource, It would take me a half hour to regenerate that info. The Kubota does not have a factory cab for the L48. Curtis makes a soft sided one that attaches to the 4 Post ROPS.

My L48 does not have a seat kill switch. If it did and it is like my riding mower, I would put a jumper wire across the switch and it would keep the current flowing and the engine running.

I think I missposted an earlier note so I will add it to this one.

About pricing: I looked at many options and bought were I beleived I was getting a good price and would get the needed support if any.

I have seen a number of L48's on Machinery Trader .com, one as low as 33550 new. That's right. Many other options as well. Some of the dealers listed on this site offer good prices and good support. If I had known of them , I would have gotten pricing from them as well. I have no big issue with going a distance from home for a tractor. I do most of my own maintainance. The input they give on this site has been good stuff. Thanks Guys.

It is way too nasty here on the big lake ( Superior ) to work with the new thumb on the tractor or take pictures. I will as soon as I can.
