log splitter pump leaking. HELP!!!

I had a suction tube that was loose. To expand the tube I found a socket that when forced inside increased the O.D. just enough to get good press fit again.

No number, but I can ask again. The blue I looked up mentioned up to 3/4 in tube, so I added that in my post.

This is the one that sounds relative, especially about seal and lock up to 3/4 in . This is used before assembly

The Green 290 that someone mentioned is for after assembly.

Henkel/Loctite has such a wide assortment of products it would be great if Haldex would specify what they use. Help reduce some of the guessing.

To remove old Loctite, I believe they use LOCTITE 768 X-NMS cleaner/desolver

I had the same problem with a power steering pump on a VW.
I removed the nipple, cleaned and slightly reworked to provide a tighter fit then lightly sanded to enhance the bond and used red Loctite 271, end of problem.
I would recommended 271 as it is high strength and should be a permanent fix.
Loctite at one time made a green product that was used for stud and bearing mounts.
It was recommended for loose bearing fits such as a bearing race that spun in it痴 bore or in your case securing a nipple.
It appears that they expanded the applications of their green product.
