I have an LK 3054 that has remote hydraulic outlets installed on the rear of the machine. Recently I purchased a three point hitch mounted log splitter, hooked it's hoses up to the outlets and moved the splitter lever forward with absolutely no results...the splitter piston didn't move an inch. I'm not sure what's wrong and could use some advice.
The transmission fluid level gauge shows that its full. However, I note that there is a hydraulic resevoir in the PTO area with a cap that says "oil". Do I need to add hydraulic/transmission fluid to this component? Unfortunately the LK 3054 owners manual is a little sparse in the hydraulics area and remains silent in regards to this item. Any suggestions for getting the splitter operational would be greatly appreciated.
