Very nice!
Its fun, this was an easy job.
The problem was to find a object which was not a total wreck and at a price that made sense, at the end it did cost 520$ total and thats is an OK price vs buying a working, used unit of the same model.
If I had a machine shop I would have made the new shaft, it was expensive for such a low budget project at 235$.

Around here, that's very cheap for a winch. I'd say you did well!:thumbsup:
The sales value on it now is ca 850 - 1100 depending where and if you sell in the late winter when the peak of the firewood season is her i Norway.
Winches are very common equipment here because of the difficult terrain, today tractor and winch are reduced to hobby use, mostly for taking out firewood and small scale milling for private use.
