I searched and found a few discussions about the 1199, but none specific enough to this issue. I'm trying to find a pinion gear, Long part no. 745876, that fits the splined pto pump shaft, and mates to the larger gear in the gearbox that fits on the pto output shaft. Diggerman had a couple of pictures of his gearbox in an earlier thread, and mine looks like that.
Long Equipment in Tarboro NC says they have the gear on backorder, but I've been trying for a couple of weeks and they won't commit to a date when they might get the gear in stock. I also went to the Farmtrac folks (they bought Long), and they suggested trying their dealers, which I've done to a limited extent. The 10 or so I've called don't have it, and refer me back to Long in Tarboro.
Anyone know a source? In the meantime, I'll keep trying the Farmtrac dealers, and hopefully one of them may have an old stock of Long parts.
