Can't you start a diesel just by jumping across the starter terminals....key or not?

One month is not a long time as I routinely only get to my Kama 554 once a month or so and noooooooooo problema.

I would further suggest shutting off the fuel petcock on the glass filter bowl. If stolen, perhaps they would only get the tractor to a place that they don't want to be before it shuts down.

Not on most newer ones. The fuel is controlled by an electric solenoid. You have to find and jumper that on first.

My 1910 has sat many times for over a month in the winter (in a garage) with nothing other than a float charger for the battery. Over 20 years and still runs great.

I'd be much more concerned about security if it is out in the open. Any neighbors to watch it?

if you're really concerned about vandalism and theft how about renting a place to store it? maybe a neighbor has room in his barn? I would be less concerned about problems with the tractor due to no use, than abuse by some idiot. After having a travel trailer on a piece of wild land I learned that anything I cared about was not left at the property. The less for them to find, the less tempting it was.
