What is the general opinion of Long Tractors? I looked at a 2660 about 25 to 30 hp, 190 hrs, with 6'finish mower for $6K
It is a 95 model. I don't know how good or bad they are, but it is one of the ugliest tractors I've seen. Just give me some honest opinions. Thanks, Rick

I don't know much about the Long tractor, except that I discounted them when I looked at them. Kubota, John Deere, and New Holland are the leaders in compact tractors and have a pretty good service and parts network in most areas of the country.

I do have a Long Tiller and I thought it was a pretty good buy when I bought it. Now the ones at Tractor Supply seem to actually be priced better. They were able to get parts on this one. On a previous long tiller, the gearbox cost as much as just buying a new one for $1500. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Long tractors are JUNK!!!! Take from a former owner. I had a Long 320. Bought it new. Had it in the shop 3 times because of starter problems. Metal on Loader was thin. Gears are almost impossible to shift. Vibrates like crazy so every screw and bolt eventually falls off. JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!

Call me stupid, because that is what I was when I bought it. I just traded for a Cub Cadet 7305. #0 hp, Hydro, 4X4. A lot more expensive.,....but a much better tractor.
