Well a bit of an update, I got my tracking number, the welder is in the mail. It was shipped with fedex, so it should be here before too long.

Oh yes, a full report is in order. I will need to pick up some 6010. I have 7018ac, so I will see how it likes those. Any recomendations on which 6010 rods to get? Also, when I run out of 7018ac, what 7018 rod do you recomend?

Lincoln rods are OK, but I find they smoke a lot, not so good for work inside the shop.
I really like ESAB's Sureweld 10-P, (not the 10P-Plus) 6010, and ESAB's AtomArc 7018.

Our welders here like and use Lincoln Rods. They went home for the day, but we can get some recommendations for you.

I have to chuckle with these inverters! My Dynasty is the first inverter I bought. Great Tig machine, but it sucks for SMAW. The next inverter was the Everlast PowerArc 200. It didn't seem to like Lincoln rods, that's when I switched to ESAB. Now the Invertec really likes Lincoln rods, and no problem with ESAB, but I've eaten enough smoke in my life with a steady diet of running Innershield, so now I just buy ESAB.
